Wyn Morgan was appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor for Learning and Teaching at the University of Sheffield in September 2015. In addition he is also Professor in Economics with research interests in food and commodity markets, food prices and imperfect competition in vertical chains. He has published in many peer reviewed journals and carried out research for HM Government, the Commonwealth Secretariat and informed a recent review of food price volatility in the House of Lords.
His career has always had a very strong focus on teaching and while at his previous institution, the University of Nottingham, he served as Director of E-learning, Director of Teaching and Learning and finally Assistant PVC for Teaching and Learning over a 10 year period. He has won several awards for teaching and contribution to teaching and currently teaches a final year module at Sheffield.
